Graphic Manipulations and Getting Around in Autobiography
Graphic Manipulations
There is a single, main image on each page
of
Autobiography. This appears to the top left, beneath the top horiztonal rule.
Other, related images are found through links
supplied at the bottom of the page, below the bottomost horizontal rule.
The images in Autobiography which appear in frames can
be manipulated:
- Clicking on the corners will rotate the image Left or Right in the direction of the
arrows.
- Clicking on arrow in the middle of the top frame will flip the image vertically.
- Clicking the side arrows flips it horizontally.
- The double arrow in the bottom frame causes a 180 degree rotation.
- Clicking anywhere inside the image will zoom to the spot clicked on.
- Images can be repeatedly zoomed.
- Images can also be repeatedly zoomed, rotated, and flipped in all combinations.
The small lion above is a live image. Click and see.
The software for these image manipulations is ZRF,
which I developed for Autiobiography and is currently
available only on the
Manitoba Visual Arts Network.
Getting Around
To the bottom of every page, above the page number, is a short
horizontal line with two smaller highlighted horizontal lines to either side of it:
__
________
__
- Clicking on the highlighted line to the left will link to the previous page.
- Clicking on the highlighted line to the right will link to the next page.
On this page, for instance, the left line links to the introduction
and the right line to the software acknowledgments.
At the very bottom of the page, below the long horizontal line, you will always find a link
to the table of contents. Other links, as needed, may also appear here, as well as other
informational references. In particular, here you will find
links to other images
relevant to the current page or its image. See the bottom of this page for examples.
